Engage needs more Trustees – could that be you?

Our work touches the lives of thousands of young people in Woking. This is all made possible with the help of our many volunteers who give their time and talents to support our ministry in many varied ways.

We could always do with more help!

Here are some ways in which our volunteers currently support our work:

Are you looking for a meaningful way to use your skills and experience to make a lasting difference? Consider becoming a trustee with Engage – a role where your insight, leadership, and passion can directly support work that is helping children in local schools explore and understand the Christian faith.
Our Trust Board thrives on a rich blend of expertise, including HR, finance, safeguarding, legal knowledge, school experience, marketing, income generation, and the wisdom that comes from life and service. You won’t be alone in this role – training is provided, and you’ll join a supportive team that meets six times a year to guide and strengthen the charity’s work.
Whether you bring professional experience or simply a heart to contribute, your involvement could help shape opportunities that inspire and support the next generation.

Other ways to volunteer

Here are some ways in which our volunteers currently support our work:

  • Acting in our assembly dramas and/or preparing props and costumes.

  • Using technical skills to create videos which are used as resources by schools and in our communications.

  • Social Media Support.

  • Photography.

  • Administrative Support.

  • Craft Preparation.

  • Mentoring young people.

Other areas where we are looking for volunteers are:

  • Serving as a Trustee.

  • Championing Engage in your Church.

  • Fundraisers.

Information, training and on-the-job support are all provided by our experienced team. We are fully committed to the safety, protection and welfare of young people. As such, all of our volunteers are DBS checked and references are requested.
