Sandra Bayliss – Trustee

I am married to Ian and have a grown-up son, Mark. I am also lucky to have grown-up twin stepdaughters, Emma and Rebecca, and two delightful step-grandchildren – Indiana (4) and Aubriella (2) – who keep me on my toes. In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading and visits to the theatre, as well as listening to music and attending live concerts.
I retired in 2020, having worked for 28 very happy years as a Primary School teacher. The last 8 years of my career were spent at Horsell C of E Junior School, which is where I first became aware of the work of the Engage team. Since retiring, I have been involved in a number of activities through my church, St. Mary the Virgin, Horsell. I have enjoyed being a member of their ‘Open the Book’ team, as well as occasionally helping with the toddler group. I have also been part of the Engage assembly team, both in schools and on film, which was a fun and enjoyable experience. I am currently the Parish Safeguarding Officer for St. Mary’s and am also about to become a member of the PCC.
I am very much looking forward to joining the Engage Board of Trustees and the opportunity to use my expertise and experience to support the wonderful work they do.
