Primary Schools
Our Primary School work is focused on Collective Worship (assemblies), lunchtime and after-school clubs, alongside storytelling for Infant Schools locally.
We also support ‘Open The Book’ teams at a number of schools across the region, bringing to life some of the most well-known, and some not so well-known, Bible stories through drama.
Our dedicated team offer help in delivering RE lessons and in coordinating peer support groups, including subjects such as self-esteem and anger management.
One of our most valued activities is geared towards children in Year 6, to help them prepare for life in Secondary School.
Year 6 Transition Sessions – It’s Your Move
A valuable hour spent with students in Year 6 who are preparing to go to Secondary School. We help them process what they will miss about their Primary School, what they may be looking forward to the most and what they might be worried about. This is all done through games and group discussions and in partnership with local churches. This programme is designed by Scripture Union.
